Favorite purchase (November)

These are my favorite purchases of the month. Never knew I could buy so much black, but it is genuinely my favorite color, I’ve learned to embrace the dark colors. It’s funny to see how my style have changed only within a year, let alone looking at my previous blog posts. I’ve begun to love the edgy look, never thought I would but it’s growing on me. My aesthetic is very black and white. Definitely monochromatic!

Chelsea Boots

Chelsea Chelsea2

Chanel // La Canadienne // Ferragamo //Elizabeth Stuart // Royal Republiq // Dr. martens

Chelsea boots have become a very popular footwear, for quite a long time now. These classic boots are designed with an elastic patch on the sides and fit perfectly at the ankles, making them great to wear with skirts or skinny jeans, they will make any outfit look unique. They are also such a classic footwear to always have, because they are acceptable to wear at any season and it goes with everything, therefore making it a must have piece.

I’ve been looking at some chelsea boots, trying to find the perfect one before I leave for states for two months soon. I have only chelsea wellies, never really took time to find real chelsea boots. Here is my favorite pick, the Chanel one at the top left, is definitely my favorite one, which I will hopefully buy get when I back home, so in the mean time my pick would probably be the La Canadienne next to Chanel, which I’m going to buy while I’m in the states.

Which one is you favorite?

The 1975

It’s so different from everything today, it’s so original and very 70/80/90’s kinda of music. They are incredibly talented it’s crazy, everything from the music to the lyrics are 100 % their creation, not something you see that often anymore. Their music really fits my personality so well. It’s been a very long time since I enjoyed some real good music. On thursday I had the pleasure of seeing them perform live in Copenhagen, which was an absolute delight! This was hands down the best live show I have ever seen, I just loved the whole atmosphere and how engaged they were, making everything LIVE (music + singing) and doing an amazing job at it! All their songs are my favorite, but I was so impressed by their performance of Head.Cars.Bending and Settle Down.

Another thing I really loved was that most of their audience were not screaming teenagers, it was young and mature people, so the guys did not need any sort of bodyguards and we could all have a proper chat with them, without anyone screaming or crying in their face. I got the chance to meet the lead singer Matthew and the drummer George, who were both so cool. Had a chat with Matthew as well, which was quite nice, he is a very down to earth and humble guy. I love how normal they were, and it fits well to their statement of never becoming a product of record labels or letting fame getting to them, all they care is about doing their music, staying original and that is how it should be. They have an amazing record label (Dirty Hit) behind them, who not only support and believe their talent but also gave them the opportunity be themselves without compromising anything.

I definitely cannot wait to see them again hopefully soon in London and Denmark in august.

London

1h

I had an absolutely amazing time in London as always! I just fall in love with this city more and more really. I went there with my sister-in-law, it was a mix between a uni, shopping, and showing her around kind of trip, since it was her first time. Two days will never be enough, but it was still amazing. I was definitely exited to be back at Nando’s again, taking the tube and experience the awesome atmosphere, with the formidable and stylish Londoners. Well as for shopping I did some, but I was more interested in the food and cafés this time, which was quite impressive.

The whole reason for this trip was for university visiting. I always knew that London was a place for me and that I really wanted to be living there and study, but this trip really confirmed my feelings about it and strengthen my decision a lot more. You know it is always a bit scary to take such a huge step, and jump out of your comfort zone, sure I feel at home in London and know the city a lot, but to be living there is completely a different story. After this trip, I have become 100 % sure of my decision, and I absolutely cannot wait to embark on this new capital of my life soon.
